Active Jewish communities along the Moselle
Along the Moselle itself there are two active Jewish communities today — in Trier and in Koblenz. Both are members of the Landesverband der Jüdischen Gemeinden von Rheinland-Pfalz (State Association of Jewish Communities of Rhineland-Palatinate).

References and sources
The author is grateful for references to as yet undocumented Stolpersteine, cemetery sites, family documents or local studies on the Jewish Moselle. Where possible, such references will be incorporated into the website with attribution and provenance.
Contributions to the state of research
For the following subject areas in particular, the sources are still incomplete and references are especially welcome:
- Exact dating of the emigration of individual Trier families (e.g., the Loeb family: 1934, 1937 or in stages);
- Movements of Jewish wine merchant families between the Moselle and Great Britain or the United States in the first half of the 20th century;
- Recollections of personal encounters with members of the Trier, Wittlich, Bernkastel or other Moselle communities before 1938;
- Local studies on smaller communities in the Hunsrück and Eifel on either side of the Moselle.
